Confederation of School Trusts Annual Conference 2024

  • Thursday 7th and Friday 8th November 2024
  • The ICC, Birmingham

As a CST Platinum Partner, we are looking forward to attending the CST Annual Conference on November 7th & 8th.

As part of this event our founder and CEO, Denise Inwood and Catherine Taylor, Trust Improvement Partner, Advance Learning Partnership will be hosting a workshop: Building a stronger school workforce with CPD

Thursday 7th November at 11:45- 12:45 AM – Executive Boardroom 8

Addressing the ongoing school staff recruitment and retention challenge needs a new approach to workforce growth that isn’t simply about pay. Teachers and school staff increasingly want their work to ‘work’ for them; they want better working conditions, and career and learning pathways that are rewarding.

How do we ensure that working in education is a desirable profession, above other sectors?

Effective CPD strategy is at the core of this vision, providing a clear demonstration that the organisation values its staff.

In this session, we will share examples from school trusts that have implemented integrated people strategies that underpin organisational values, with workforce development at the core. We will demonstrate how targeted approaches and dedicated time for CPD are helping growing school trusts to build strong, purposeful, and rewarded communities of teachers and school staff.

Don’t forget to register for this session via the CST conference app.
