BlueSky, the online leadership and management tool for schools, has been shortlisted for this year’s Education Resources Awards (ERA).
The pioneering technology, which helps schools, multi-academy trusts (MATs) and schools in other forms of collaboration to align staff data and development to raising standards, is nominated in the Supplier of the Year (£1m-£10m) category.
The ERA nomination follows success at the 2019 Bett Awards where BlueSky won the Leadership and Management Solutions category in January.
BlueSky Managing Director Denise Inwood was inspired to develop the BlueSky technology by her experiences as a teacher and school leader.
She said the ERA nomination was another valuable endorsement of the company’s achievements and of its commitment to schools.
“We are delighted to be shortlisted as an ERA finalist,” she said.
“When we developed BlueSky, our aim was to design a tool to streamline the processes around staff performance and data and gives school leaders deep insight into how training and development is helping to improve children’s learning. Fundamentally, we wanted to help education professionals to do their job more effectively. The nomination for the ERA is wonderful recognition of our work so far.”
BlueSky is now in use in 1,500 schools in 26 countries and is the only tool of its kind endorsed by the Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL).
The winners of the 2019 ERA will be announced at the National Conference Centre, Birmingham, on Friday 22 March. www.educationresourcesawards.co.uk
