BlueSky, the online leadership and management tool for schools, has been shortlisted for a prestigious Bett Award.

The pioneering technology, now used by more than 1,500 schools in 25 countries around the world to align staff data and development to raising standards, is a finalist in the Leadership and Management Solutions category.

“We are delighted to be shortlisted as a Bett finalist,” said Denise Inwood, BlueSky Managing Director.

“Teaching is a tremendous profession and it’s a privilege to be working in the education sector supporting the professionals directly involved in enabling our young people to be the very best they can.”

BlueSky was born out of Denise’s own experience of working as a teacher and senior leader.

“When BlueSky was conceived there was nothing like it on the market,” she said.

“As a former teacher and school leader myself, I knew that schools are swamped with data but often struggle to draw real meaning from it. We devised BlueSky as a tool that would enable schools to bring all of the data together in a coherent way to give leaders a complete picture of staff progress and how what they do in class helps the school achieve its goals for improving children’s learning.”

BlueSky is now used around the world in performance management and in supporting collaboration within and between schools in multi-academy trusts and other settings, she added.

“Being shortlisted for the BETT Award is an endorsement of the dedication and commitment that our staff have for both our clients and our product.”

Winners of the 2019 Bett Awards will be announced at the Troxy in London on Wednesday 23 January 2019.

The Bett Show 2019 is at the Excel, London from Wednesday 23 January to Saturday 26 January 2019 and BlueSky will be exhibiting on stand E43.
