We are excited to share further updates to the BlueSky Education platform that will give you and your workforce even more convenient access to professional development from The National College.
This forthcoming change will mean that all BlueSky Education members will be able to access our People Development platform and The National College’s Professional Development through a single login page. You will see that you are logging in through The National College login page.
Once you have logged in, you will be able to seamlessly switch between the tabs for People Development (formerly BlueSky) and Professional Development (The National College).
No more different logins, no more separate user profiles – just everything your school needs in one place.
Consistent navigation across memberships
When you login for the first time, you will notice that the Help Centre, Notifications, Notices and Messages icons have moved to the top of the left hand menu. You will also find the Projects area has moved to the left hand menu.
These changes ensure a consistent navigation experience across all memberships, making it easier to access core features.
All other functionality of BlueSky remains the same.
How will this benefit members?
Our mission is to help our members build a culture of continuous learning, collaboration and professional growth that empowers every member of your team. Streamlining access and enhancing the links between People Development and Professional Development will save time, reduce admin workload and help you and your staff focus on what matters most.
If your school or trust is not currently a member of The National College and you would like to learn more, please get in touch or simply visit the website.
As a reminder, members can access The National College’s extensive library across BlueSky’s People Development platform, including:
- CPD: All members can search The National College Library and create a CPD activity in a few clicks
- Objectives: Link CPD activities with Appraisal Objectives as Evidence or Learning Plans
- Training: Assign CPD Activities such as mandatory Safeguarding training to individuals, teams or the whole workforce
Not all schools have the same needs, which is why we offer flexible memberships. As a non-member, you will be able to view the National College tab as a default, but you won’t be able to complete any CPD activities from The National College library. Joining The National College Professional Development membership is not a requirement for BlueSky Education members.
This change will be implemented automatically in the coming weeks, so once you have checked that your organisation’s internet firewall settings have been updated, you do not need to do anything further.
