BlueSky has joined the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA), confirming its commitment to developing close relationships with leading schools in the region.
The company, winner of the 2019 BETT Award for Leadership and Management Solutions, has become an affiliate member of the Federation which is made up of international schools providing a curriculum broadly similar to those in British schools, as well as educational organisations and suppliers.
BlueSky is already used by a number of FOBISIA schools, including the British International School in Jakarta, Dulwich College in Singapore, and Garden International School in Kuala Lumpur.
BlueSky Managing Director Denise Inwood said membership of the Singapore-based Federation would raise the company’s profile further in the region.
“We are delighted to have been accepted as affiliate members of FOBISIA,” she said. “The Federation represents some of the leading schools in Asia, some of whom are already our customers, and our membership will enable us to build on these relationship further in this important market.”
Darren Bunyan, Head of New Business at BlueSky, said: “This is an exciting time for the company. Winning our first BETT Award was a recognition that BlueSky is providing schools with the support for professional learning and staff performance that they value. Now securing membership of FOBISIA means we are now part of a key network for the region and will enable us to deepen our understanding of the specific needs and contexts of more British schools in Asia.”
