BlueSky founder and CEO Denise Inwood, in partnership with the Confederation of School Trusts and Browne Jacobsen, has produced a guidance piece on The Performance Review of Executive Leaders: Understanding the Challenge; Winning Hearts and Minds.
Denise has recently written an article for ASCL’s Leader magazine, exploring why placing people development at the heart of appraisals benefits teachers, and can also have a positive effect on pupil achievement.
You can also read our latest blog looking at ways teachers can support pupils with Special Educational Needs with SEL practices in the classroom.
We will share more news around new feature updates and forthcoming webinars soon. Until then we hope you have a smooth run to the end of term and enjoy any time off that you have over the summer break!

The performance review of Executive Leaders
Executive Leaders are responsible for delivering the trust priorities, yet much of their success in achieving the plan can depend on how they are supported by the trust board. Strong collaboration and a developmental approach to performance reviews can significantly improve the Executive Leader’s ability to fulfil the strategic plan.
In this guidance piece, developed in partnership with the Confederation of School Trusts and Browne Jacobson, experts in education HR and law, we explore how the performance review of Executive Leaders can help school trusts achieve higher standards and improved outcomes.
People first development
Placing people development at the heart of appraisals not only benefits teachers, it can also have a positive effect on pupil achievement. In this article for Association of School and College Leaders The Leader magazine, Denise Inwood from BlueSky Education explains how and why.
