It goes without saying, recruitment and retention is an enormous challenge for the education sector. There are many reasons why teachers and non-teaching staff leave their jobs, but there are some things schools/trusts can control.
In our blog, we explore the role that a people strategy can play in building and sustaining the workforce in a school or trust, by building an interconnected approach to professional development and culture.

Safeguarding Masterclass Webinar
Child on Child Abuse – Understanding Harmful Sexual Behaviour
It is important to recognise that abuse isn’t always perpetrated by adults; children can abuse other children. This is referred to as ‘child-on-child abuse’. All staff in education settings should be able to recognise the indicators and signs of child-on-child abuse and know how to identify it and respond to reports in line with their child protection policy. This session is open to all BlueSky users and is suitable for all school staff involved in safeguarding.
BlueSky Learning Presents Revision Revolution: How to Build a Culture of Effective Study
Why is a culture of ongoing revision important to embed learning? What practical ideas and strategies can teachers use to help learners revise in the lead-up to exams? In this session, Helen Howell will explore the science behind effective study, why students don’t revise and how traditional approaches to revision tend to widen the gap. She will offer strategies to both create a culture where all students revise effectively. This webinar is open to all school staff.
