5 things we’re looking forward to at Bett UK 2024

Five highlights of the show that we’re looking forward to.

Bett UK 2024 is less than two week’s away and here at BlueSky, the team is busy preparing for the world’s largest EdTech show with plans for our exhibition stand, meetings and our exclusive offer well under way!

There will be a vast array of activities at Bett 2024 so an itinerary is essential and we’ve been studying the Bett 2024 agenda. We’ve picked five highlights of the show that we’re looking forward to.

Gaining new perspectives on EdTech

Thrive with AI: Lead like a scientist
24 Jan 2024 –  10:00 – 10:30 – The Arena

AI has had an enormous impact on the education sector and is of course a huge topic in EdTech. Of course, understanding its potential – and potential pitfalls – is crucial to harnessing the power of AI to help shape the future of education.

We’re looking forward to what promises to be a fascinating keynote from Microsoft’s Chief Scientist, Jaime Teevan, which will explore the fundamental shifts in what will matter most in the future of work and learning.

CPD in schools, continued professional development, Continuous Professional Development

Reducing workload with technology to help teachers transform the curriculum
24 Jan 2024 – 14:45 – 15:15 – The Arena

A topic close to BlueSky’s heart, we are hoping to catch Mr P ICT’s presentation which will explore how digital technology can help teachers save time on admin and support them to develop more innovative approaches to delivering the curriculum.

Why multi school groups need a robust digital strategy to grow
25 Jan 2024 – 15:15 – 15:45 – Teaching & Learning theatre

Following the pandemic, there can’t be many schools that don’t rely on a number of digital solutions to support everything from classroom teaching to taking students’ lunch orders. However, we know that the proliferation of different solutions can sometimes make integrating with a MAT or collaboration across schools difficult and frustrating. An effective digital strategy can help to streamline the integration of new schools into the group, ensure consistency and can even support the well being and retention of staff!

This panel of experienced education leaders promises to offer some helpful guidance for multi-school groups who are considering how to improve their EdTech strategy.

“The EdTech market is an incredibly innovative space and can only continue to grow. We’ve seen schools continue to embrace technology that enhances efficiency and reduces workload. Schools are also realising how cloud solutions can encourage collaboration across the school and even across the world, and how this supports best practice.”

The Bett Awards 2024

We are thrilled that BlueSky Education is a finalist for the Bett Awards 2024 – Leadership and Management solutions. We have been nominated a number of times, and previously won the Bett Award in this category in 2019. We’re up against some tough competition including CPOMS Systems, IRIS Software Group, The National College and The School Bus, but having made some significant developments to our platform over the years, we are quietly optimistic! We look forward to seeing all of our fellow nominees on the night.

“Bett 2024 will be a fantastic opportunity to meet with people face to face and really talk about what is going on in schools right now. We always learn a lot from these events and this helps us to explore how we innovate our products to better serve our clients.”

Meeting our members – old and new

After a few years away from Bett, we’re looking forward to getting back on the show floor to meet with educators and leaders in the education sector.

We will be showcasing the BlueSky Education platform, the leading online solution for people development in schools and trusts. Originally developed by school leaders over 20 years ago, BlueSky has continually innovated to ensure we support the evolving approaches to professional development in schools as well as meeting the needs of our clients in the here and now. In recent years, we have added greater customisation so schools can implement their unique appraisal process. We also updated the user interface earlier this year to ensure a best-in-class user experience.

“There has been a huge shift in schools’ approach to performance management, with a much greater focus on professional development linked to school priorities. BlueSky has developed a great deal over the past few years to meet the changing needs of our clients. You might be surprised at what BlueSky can do, so come and talk to us!”

Darren Bunyan, Head of New Business

Visit our stand to talk to our team about how your school manages appraisal, professional development and quality assurance processes, and we’ll show you how BlueSky can support you to streamline the administration of these tasks, encourage staff to engage with CPD and how our reporting tools make it easy to evaluate progress.

We have an exclusive offer for new customers who sign up at the show, and visitors to our stand can also pick up our free guide to ‘Changing the culture of Teacher development’.

If you would like to meet us at Bett 2024 – whether you are new to BlueSky or an existing member – do get in touch or book in a meeting. We look forward to seeing you there!
