Supporting Children & Young People who have Pathological Demand Avoidance - Concept Training
The Village School, Grove Park, Kingsbury, London, NW9 0JY
Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) is a complex Autism Spectrum Condition characterised by anxiety driven need to be in control. Children and young people with PDA need a different approach to the ones used with other Autism Spectrum conditions. This course will teach learners how PDA differs from other types of autism. Most importantly the course will teach effective strategies to ensure that those who work with children and young people with PDA can support them to help them meet their potential and manage their behaviour. This is one of a series of courses being run by Concept Training, a group of experts in special needs training, and hosted at The Village School.
